Our work often involves a sequence of four steps:

Surfacing the root ideas
First, we dig deep to unearth what makes our client tick. This work surfaces the ideas, words, and images that become our building blocks.

Message creation
We draw upon institutional history, traditions, and culture to develop powerful contemporary messages. We help our clients assemble an inventory of creative resources that can be leveraged over many projects. We discover the words that help complex ideas come alive for specific audiences.

Building consensus
A message is only as powerful as the consensus that lies behind it. We work closely with our clients to test and refine emerging ideas. Ideas are shared, and then owned, across the organization.

Message management
Good ideas aren't carved in stone. They evolve along with the organization, in response to new challenges and opportunities. Many of our clients invite us back to reshape and extend their messages.
