What we don't do

"If you can't tell me what you
don't do," as strategy guru Michael Porter puts it, "you don't have a strategy."

In that spirit, we don’t:

Publish books. But we do work closely with a half-dozen publishing houses to help get great books to market.

Offer proofreading or minor editorial services. But we can help you write your book from scratch.

Teach writing. Actually, we did this for three years at Harvard Business School, but it's a very people-intensive business.

Develop ad campaigns. Sometimes we do ads for our clients, but it's not our specialty.

Manage media relations. Depending on your circumstances, this may be best done in-house, or through an agency.

Fix your phones. We work the content, not the technologies.

Manufacture pickles, ketchup, jams, or hot peppers.
