What we don't
do
"If you can't tell me what you don't
do," as strategy
guru Michael Porter puts it, "you don't have a strategy."
In that spirit, we don’t:
•
Publish books. But we do work closely with a half-dozen
publishing houses to help get great books to market.
•
Offer proofreading or minor editorial
services.
But we can help you write your book from scratch.
•
Teach writing. Actually, we did this for
three years at Harvard Business School, but it's a very
people-intensive business.
•
Develop ad campaigns. Sometimes we do ads for our
clients, but it's not our specialty.
•
Manage media relations. Depending on your
circumstances, this may be best done in-house, or through
an agency.
•
Fix your phones. We work the content, not the
technologies.
•
Manufacture pickles, ketchup,
jams, or hot peppers.
